In the beginning of the 20th century this three-storey Art Nouveau style building standing in the historic part of the city belonged to a tobacco manufacturer Lazare Biniat-Ogli.
Surrounded by closely built houses, the house is distinguished for its artistic expressiveness. It is characterized by non-central planning, the use of materials of different colours and textures (stones, bricks, ceramic slabs), curved and rectangular openings, a broken line silhouette of the yard outline, etc. This is one of the best Art Nouveau houses in Georgia.
