It represents a space with lush vegetation, in which the spirit of ancient fortress Tomis is still alive. The park is arranged on a generous surface, between Constanţa town hall and Ferdinand Blvd. and its alleys seem to be exhibition halls in a history museum: columns, large ceramics vessels and architecture fragments dating from the Roman-Byzantine period. The side of the park next to Ferdinand Blvd. is still framed by the late Roman precincts wall, also showing two entrance gates to the fortress, dating back to the 4th-6th cent. AD. The ruins of the Butchers’ Tower can also be seen here, restored in Justinian’s time. On the side wall of the building at the eastern end of the park one can observe the map of ancient settlements in Dobruja.
