It Constanţa was built in the years 1935-1937 according to plans by architect Romano de Simon from Bucharest. The church was erected on the place of a former chapel, built in 1885. The present edifice is a basilica, built after the model of those in northern Italy, with evident brick, in Romanic style, specific for the 13th century. The inner side of the church also shows the brick, a fact that does not need and even does not permit to plaster the walls of the church.
